Florida has passed new PIP laws designed to reduce insurance fraud. Florida is one of the worst states for fraud and that has effected everyone who drives a vehicle. The insurance rates have steadily risen and the new laws are set to remedy that.
Under the new laws, accident victims must seek treatment within 14 days. That treatment must be by a physician, osteopath, dentist, physician's assistant or registered nurse practitioner. The law also states that there is a 90 day limit on investigations where fraud is suspected, and the suspected person may be asked to answer questions under oath.
Every family in Florida should benefit from the new PIP laws with more money in thier pocket and that is good news for everyone!
